And we will meet for class synchronously, as usual, this Tuesday, March 23, 2021. I don’t know about you but I keep up with the news from sources I view to be reliable. Do you? I hope that you consider where you get your news from on social media. That said, our fictional readings are paralleling the major events in the news. I am following the trial of George Floyd’s killer (the Floyd family setting with the city for a record 27 million dollars before the trial even began). And now we learn of these terrible murders in Atlanta (our next book is a graphic novel, American Born Chinese). Please start thinking about these things as it might help you determine how you might want to design your end of the semester project of a padlet of your own. In the meantime, please feel free to engage your letter partners in a discussion on any responses for The Hate U Give. It’s ok to express yourselves. Be raw. Be hopeful. Be angry.
